Suspect Arrested in Killing of GSU Officer Outside State House - October 2025

A General Service Unit (GSU) officer was killed while manning State House Gate D. The officer died from an arrow attack and was also reportedly killed with a spear. A man has been arrested in Nairobi in connection with the fatal stabbing and has been arraigned before the Kibera Law Courts. The suspect, Kithuka Kimunyi, will be held in custody for 14 days for investigation, and his family states he suffers from mental health issues. The slain State House guard, identified as Ramadhan Hamisi, was laid to rest at the Kajiado Muslim cemetery.
