The party secured a significant win in the Malava Constituency against the Tawe movement and also won the Mbeere North parliamentary by-election, a win seen as a boost to Deputy President Kithure Kindiki. The Mbeere North by-election was described as a critical contest for political influence in the Mount Kenya region between President Ruto and his former deputy, Rigathi Gachagua.
