Matatu operators across Kenya have launched a nationwide strike, protesting against the recent increase in fuel prices. The situation escalated as police reportedly used teargas to disperse protesters in some areas. The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has been criticized by a drivers' association for road blocks, with the association stating that numerous road blocks are causing delays and are a source of corruption.
