Sammy Douglas Waweru Kamau of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) has won the Member of Parliament seat for Ol Kalou in a decisive victory. The Returning Officer verified results from all 144 polling stations before the official announcement. UDA's Samuel Muchina Nyagah conceded defeat following the declaration. Leaders across the political spectrum congratulated Sammy Kamau on his victory. Meanwhile, politicians from DCP mocked UDA MP Mwangi Kiunjuri when he arrived to congratulate the winners, with the phrase "Sema Wantam!" being used against him.
