Body Count in Kwa Binzaro Cult Investigation Rises to 19 - August 2025
An ongoing exhumation exercise in Kwa Binzaro village, Kilifi County, continues to uncover more remains. The total number of bodies recovered has now reached 19, following the discovery of six more bodies. Previously, the death toll was confirmed at 13 after four more bodies were exhumed. Police have arrested 11 individuals in connection with the ongoing probe into the mass fatalities. As part of the investigation, detectives are actively investigating a money trail connected to the deaths, focusing on financial transactions and land dealings involving those associated with the deaths.
