In Kisumu, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is developing a multimillion residential housing project in Milimani, comprising 162 modern housing units. To enhance security at Karura Forest, the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has launched drone patrols to complement existing ground measures. In a cross-border initiative, Kenya and Tanzania are considering establishing a joint board to sustainably manage the Mara River, a proposal that emerged during the 14th Mara Day Scientific Conference in Butiama, Tanzania.
