ICPAK Demands Investigation at SHA Amid Whistleblower Controversy - October 2025
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is calling for an independent investigation into alleged employment irregularities at the Social Health Authority (SHA). This demand follows reports that a whistleblower, Andrew Rotich, was terminated or removed from a recruitment list after exposing alleged multi-billion shilling fraud. The Sustainable Healthcare Alliance (SHA) has since refuted claims made by ICPAK, stating that they did not fire whistleblower Andrew Rotich. Separately, Kirinyaga ACK Bishop Joseph Kibucwa has criticized the government regarding the stalemate over the SHA and for failing to resolve ambiguities surrounding the insurance scheme.
