President William Ruto has officially signed into law the National Infrastructure Fund, a landmark legislation paving the way for mobilization of KSh 5 trillion for major government projects. The government has launched efforts to raise over Sh5 trillion through this new fund, which aims to address the nation's fiscal challenges and fund infrastructure development without increasing public debt. At the same time, a newly formed steering committee focused on improving functionality of Nairobi County has announced plans to allocate KSh 25 billion towards infrastructure development. These initiatives represent coordinated efforts to address Kenya's infrastructure and debt management challenges.
