Kenya's national football team, the Harambee Stars, will compete against South Africa, Eritrea, and Guinea in the AFCON 2027 qualifying rounds scheduled to begin in September 2026. This marks the first time Kenya will host the continental tournament alongside Tanzania and Uganda. Meanwhile, the Junior Starlets, Kenya's under-17 women's national football team, have arrived in Uganda for a series of build-up matches ahead of their 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers.
