The Kenyan government has allocated a record Sh784.5 billion for the education sector in the 2026/27 financial year, making it the largest recipient of ministerial funding. Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi unveiled the Sh4.3 trillion national budget, prioritizing education and national security. The European Union and Equity Group Foundation have partnered to send 100 top-performing scholars annually to pursue master's degrees at European universities, broadening access to international learning for high-achieving students within Kenya and the wider region.
