Two Siblings Drown After Family Boat Capsizes in Mombasa - September 2026

Tragedy struck in Mombasa when a family boat capsized, resulting in the tragic drowning of two siblings during what was meant to be a family outing on the water. Two siblings, a brother and sister, have tragically passed away after the boat they were traveling in capsized due to strong ocean waves in the Indian Ocean, Mombasa County. Five people have tragically lost their lives in a road accident involving a bus and a car in Kikopey, Gilgil, Nakuru County, on the night leading up to Monday. Separately, tragedy struck in Kikopey after a collision between a bus and a saloon car claimed the lives of five family members on the notorious Nakuru-Nairobi highway.
