• The dispute began after a letter dated July 14, 2025, from Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale requested 10 acres from Kianyaga Boys High School in Gichugu Constituency.
• Leaders from Kirinyaga Central argue that land near Kerugoya Level Five Hospital had already been identified, with Kerugoya MCA Eric Muchina citing national precedent for locating KMTCs near major hospitals.
