Kenya is set to host the 8th Kenya International Industrial Expo (KIIE) from September 4–6, 2025, in Nairobi, aiming to accelerate the nation's industrial growth by attracting global manufacturers, suppliers, and investors.

• The expo will feature over 200 international exhibitors, predominantly from China, and is expected to draw more than 6,000 business visitors.
• Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) President Erick Rutto emphasized industrialization's role in job creation, with manufacturing currently contributing only 7.6 per cent to GDP, a figure far below the target of 15 per cent.
• Bilateral trade between Kenya and China reached USD 8 billion in 2024, making China Kenya’s largest source of imports.
