The Social Health Authority (SHA) has launched a nationwide training program for health facilities to improve compliance with its medical claims review process. This initiative follows an audit revealing significant rejections due to fraudulent practices and non-compliance.

• Total claims submitted to date are worth Ksh.91.7 billion, with Ksh.10.6 billion rejected due to fraud or non-compliance.
• SHA Chief Executive Officer Mercy Mwangangi stated the training is crucial for proper claims management.
• Training sessions, dubbed “Provider Clinics,” will run virtually from Wednesday, August 27, to Monday, September 1, covering various facility levels.
