The United Opposition has appointed former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary General Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi as its spokesperson and Head of Secretariat. The announcement was made by Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday.

• Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi served as UNCTAD Secretary General from 2013 to 2021.
• Other leaders, including Rigathi Gachagua of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) and Martha Karua of the People's Liberation Party (PLP), confirmed the appointment.
• Dr. Kituyi is a former Minister of Trade and Industry and had previously withdrawn his candidacy for the 2022 presidential election to support Raila Odinga.
