Fifteen former officers from the Special Service Unit (SSU), Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and National Intelligence Service (NIS), implicated in the disappearance and murder of two Indian nationals and their Kenyan driver in July 2022, have been released on bail by the High Court in Kiambu.

• Each accused was granted freedom on a cash bail of Ksh.1 million or a bond of Ksh.3 million with one surety.
• The victims are identified as Mohamed Zaid Sami, Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan, and taxi driver Nicodemus Mwania Mwange.
• The Indian nationals were reportedly in Kenya to join the then Deputy President William Ruto’s ICT campaign team ahead of the August 2022 General Election.
