- KMPDU National Chairperson Abidan Mwachi urged the government to review doctors' payslips to reflect new basic salary rates and immediate payment of 2024–2025 arrears.
- The government recently settled doctors' salary arrears dating back to 2017, in line with a previous Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) signed eight years ago.
- President Ruto had pledged to settle arrears amounting to Ksh3.5 billion over two years, with the first batch paid immediately and further settlements by July 1, 2024.
