Uasin Gishu County in Kenya is set to benefit from a significant health digitization program, receiving 548 digital devices for 131 public health facilities. This initiative aims to modernize healthcare, improve efficiency, and combat fraud within the sector.

• Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale announced the distribution of devices and highlighted that the digital system has already helped shut down nearly 1,000 facilities involved in fraud.
• The program aligns with President William Ruto’s push to digitize the Social Health Authority (SHA) to safeguard resources.
• Uasin Gishu County will also gain from the National Equipment Services Programme (NESP), which provides advanced medical equipment like CT scans, digital X-rays, and mammograms under a fee-for-service model.
