A recent Ministry of Health report reveals that the majority of married Kenyan women under 49 years old use contraceptives, primarily to space or prevent pregnancies.

• Over 75 percent of married women desire contraception, with 46 percent not wanting more children and 30 percent wishing to delay their next pregnancy.

• The Family Planning Programme aims to ensure universal access to quality, affordable, and accessible family planning commodities and information, with 6 out of 10 women currently using a form of contraception, led by injectables.
