Five suspects have been arrested in a healthcare fraud probe following the submission of 1,188 files to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) by the Social Health Authority (SHA) and the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

• Five suspects are currently in custody, facing arraignment on Monday, October 6, 2025.
• The DCI received 1,188 files on September 1, 2025, detailing individuals and organizations suspected of healthcare fraud.
• Charges will be brought under various laws, including the Penal Code, the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act, and the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act.
