The Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall across several regions of Kenya between December 6 and December 9.

• Regions including the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Northeastern, and the South-eastern lowlands are expected to receive rain.
• Specific counties like Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi, along with others in the Lake Victoria Basin and Rift Valley, are included in the forecast.
• Coastal counties such as Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale are predicted to remain sunny and dry during this period, while parts of Highlands East, including Nairobi, will experience very cold nights with temperatures dropping as low as 5°C.
