The governor emphasized that large-scale mining will not interfere with activities of artisanal miners and guaranteed fair compensation for landowners in Bushiangala.
Governor Barasa warned political leaders against inciting communities with misinformation and urged security teams to arrest those who disrupted a public participation forum.
