The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced the temporary closure of parts of Uhuru Highway and the Haile Selassie Roundabout in Nairobi City. This closure, scheduled from Friday, January 16, to Sunday, January 18, 2026, will occur in intervals between 10 pm and 5 am for road maintenance.

• The closure affects Upper Hill Bound Lanes, Nairobi Central Business District Bound Lanes, and Mombasa and Nakuru Bound Lanes.
• KeNHA Director General Luka Kimeli stated the closures are for reinstating the asphalt concrete layer, aiming for a smoother and safer driving experience.
• Motorists are advised to follow proposed traffic management plans, with guidance from police officers and traffic marshals on site. This initiative is part of KeNHA's broader strategy to improve road infrastructure, including expanding roads linking Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to ABC Place.
