A horrific incident has rocked Kirinyaga County, where Jane Wambui, a 40-year-old woman, was found murdered in Thumaita, Ndia on Sunday morning. Her body was discovered naked on a farm, sparking community outrage and calls for justice.

• Jane Wambui's body was found approximately five hundred meters from her homestead.
• Her husband, Simon Njiru, is demanding justice for his wife's murder and alleged rape, despite the couple having separated in October 2025.
