The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) has issued a 14-day strike notice to the Meru County government over unresolved labor disputes, threatening to halt health services.
- KMPDU is demanding the conversion of doctors from locum and short-term contracts to permanent and pensionable terms and the implementation of long-overdue promotions, some pending for over a decade.
