Kenya's medical and dental associations have expressed grave concerns over alleged corruption, fraudulent facility registrations, and irregular licensing at the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists’ Council (KMPDC), warning of compromised patient safety and public trust.

• Allegations include corruption and bribery involving KMPDC staff and board officials, fraudulent registration of non-compliant health facilities, and irregular licensure of individuals with unverified qualifications.
• The joint statement was issued by Dr. Kahura Mundia, President of the Kenya Dental Association, and Dr. Simon Kigondu, President of the Kenya Medical Association.
• The associations welcomed the interdiction of implicated individuals and called for transparent investigations by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and administrative oversight from the Ministry of Health.
