• The advisory was released by the Kenya Meteorological Department, with Director General Edward Muriuki attributing recent heavy rains to the Madden-Julian Oscillation.
• Residents are urged to be vigilant about potential floods, flash floods, and poor visibility, and to take precautions against lightning strikes.
