• The full implementation of the Mwalimu Cover under the Social Health Authority (SHA) requires Sh8.9 billion, but only Sh7.5 billion was allocated.
• This underfunding risks disrupting medical services for approximately 415,000 teachers and their dependents who were migrated from Minet Kenya to SHA in December last year.
• Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has warned facilities against denying treatment, emphasizing contractual obligations with SHA and highlighting that SHA has already released Sh15.4 billion to healthcare facilities.
