Motorists and households in Kenya are facing significantly higher transport and energy costs as the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced a substantial increase in fuel prices for the next 30 days.

Super Petrol prices have risen by Sh16.65 per litre, and Diesel by a steep Sh46.29 per litre, effective from midnight, May 15 to June 14, 2026.
In Nairobi, Super Petrol now retails at Sh214.25 and Diesel at Sh242.92.
The price hikes are attributed by EPRA to a 10% increase in the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol and a 20.32% rise for Diesel in April 2026.
