Several Nairobi estates are facing a 24-hour water shortage. The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company has announced the disruption to carry out urgent repairs on the NCT Raw Water Pipeline.

• The water supply will be interrupted from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
• Affected areas include Westlands, Lavington, Kilimani, Upper Hill, Ngong Road, Madaraka, Lang’ata, Kibera, Karen, Uthiru, Kawangware, Kangemi, Ruai, Ngundu, Kamulu, and regions under MAVWASCO and Oloolaiser Water Company.
• The outage is necessary due to a detected leakage near the Kigoro Treatment Works.
