The Kenyan Cabinet has approved a Ksh4.5 billion plan to construct 10 Mother and Child hospitals nationwide, aiming to significantly enhance maternal and neonatal healthcare services.

The initiative, dubbed the Mother and Child Lifeline Initiative, involves a partnership between the government and Amsons Group.
These hospitals will be constructed in various locations including Nairobi, Garissa, Embu, Kisumu, West Pokot, Uasin Gishu, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kwale, and Bomet.
The Cabinet also endorsed the Kenya-United States Health Cooperation Framework and approved policies to strengthen protection for vulnerable families.
