• Kemosi stated he was promised a Cabinet Secretary or Principal Secretary role after supporting Ruto in the 2021 elections.
• He considered the ambassadorial appointment an "insult" compared to the promised senior positions.
• Personal reasons, including his child nearing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams and his own Master of Laws studies, also contributed to his decision.
