Kirinyaga County, under the leadership of Governor Anne Waiguru, has launched a significant community empowerment drive, distributing 13 milk coolers totaling 35,000 litres in capacity to dairy cooperatives.
- A Ksh.90 million investment aims to benefit over 17,000 dairy farmers, substantially reducing milk spoilage.
- This initiative, supported by the Principal Secretary for Livestock Development Jonathan Mueke, fulfills a request made by Governor Waiguru to President William Ruto.
- Alongside coolers, the county also distributed tractors, water project equipment, coffee seedlings, Ksh.20 million to Saccos, and various other empowerment tools to thousands of households.
