Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has announced plans for his party to contest all 47 counties in the 2027 General Election, aiming to challenge President William Ruto's administration.

• The DCP aims to field candidates for gubernatorial, senatorial, National Assembly, and county assembly seats nationwide.
• Rigathi Gachagua, DCP leader, stated the party has a strategic plan to secure a minimum of 20 governors and senators, 145 Members of the National Assembly, and 720 Members of the County Assembly.
• This announcement follows the DCP's victory in the Ol Kalou Parliamentary by-election, where their candidate secured 35,440 votes.
