• Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has referred the petition to the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee for review.
• The committee, chaired by Bomet Senator Hillary Sigei, has 60 days to table a report on the petition, which aims to prevent the exploitation of constitutional opportunities through political patronage and ensure fairer representation for marginalized groups.
