President William Ruto has nominated Dr. Duncan Ojwang Oburu to chair the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) in a series of appointments to constitutional commissions and public bodies.

• Dr. Duncan Ojwang Oburu, currently the Chairperson of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), has been nominated as the new Chairperson of IPOA.
• Other appointments include members to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), the Public Service Commission (PSC), and the Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee (IGRTC).
• President Ruto also appointed Charles Owino Wahong’o as the new Government Spokesperson, redeploying him from the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy.
