Makadara MP George Aladwa has vehemently defended Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja against accusations made by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, labeling them as false and politically motivated.

• Aladwa stated that Gachagua's claims about Kanja's academic qualifications and the use of police for political motives are baseless.
• Aladwa, also the ODM Nairobi County chairman, asserted that under Kanja's leadership, the National Police Service has become more professional and that crime has significantly reduced.
• The Makadara MP emphasized that Nairobi MPs fully support IG Kanja and called for an end to political interference in the National Police Service.
