President Ruto Announces Ksh 18 Million to Resettle IDPs in Nakuru County - October 2025

President William Ruto has announced an aid package for victims of the 2007 post-election violence in Lanet, Nakuru County. He has committed to facilitating the resettlement of all Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the county. The government has set aside Ksh. 18 million to resettle 900 IDP families living in Nakuru. This initiative aims to assist displaced families in rebuilding their lives. The President also pledged a significant sum to assist some of these individuals in relocating to their land.
