The Wei Wei Irrigation Project has transformed the lives of residents in Sigor, West Pokot, significantly alleviating challenges of drought, hunger, and poverty that previously plagued the region. Conservation efforts in the greater Amboseli area in Kajiado County are yielding significant results, with a new report highlighting a substantial increase in community conservation areas. The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) is collaborating with local communities to restore Chepalungu Forest in Bomet County. The forest, historically vital to the community, suffered degradation following the disputed 2007 presidential election.
