Government Cracks Down on Illegal Water Connections Along Nolturesh Pipeline - August 2026

The Kenyan government has initiated plans to repair the Nolturesh water pipeline, which supplies water to Kajiado, Makueni, and Machakos counties. Authorities are cracking down on illegal water connections along the Nolturesh pipeline in Kajiado, targeting unauthorized hookups that have been diverting water supply. In a separate infrastructure development, upgrade works are progressing in Nairobi's Central Business District with cabro paving currently being laid along Moi Avenue. Meanwhile, the Kisii County government has initiated a road rehabilitation project that has brought relief to residents by repairing over 950 kilometers of previously impassable roads.
