Kenya has joined global leaders at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in calling for stronger global action on oral health, emphasizing its critical role in combating non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

• Nearly half of the world’s population suffers from oral diseases, which are closely linked to diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.
• Speaking for Kenya, Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr. Ouma Oluga highlighted the country’s National Oral Health Policy (2022–2030) and the National Oral Health Strategic Plan.
