Petitioners are challenging the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in court, arguing it was a politically motivated purge by President William Ruto's administration to control Mt Kenya politics. Former Lands Minister Amos Kimunya has also been cleared after a 12-year legal battle over an alleged land grab, expressing a wish that his late wife had lived to see justice served.
