The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, has highlighted significant fraud within Kenya's Social Health Authority (SHA), revealing that digital audits have uncovered widespread abuse of the system.

• The SHA system has detected suspicious patient activity, including individuals visiting hospitals multiple times a day under different complaints, with one case showing a patient visiting five times in one day.
• Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale presented these findings to the Senate Health Oversight Committee.
• Extreme fraudulent dependency claims have been found, including one individual claiming 375 children as dependents, which are now under investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
