Residents of Kitengela and human rights activists are calling for peace and stability as the anniversary of June 25 approaches, marking one year since Gen Z youth died during protests against the Finance Bill 2024. Community and religious leaders, alongside youth and victims from recent protests in Kitengela, Kajiado County, have pledged to maintain peace during demonstrations. Families of victims have announced planned demonstrations for June 25 to commemorate their loved ones.
